I started an unpaid internship

Good morning!
Today is Day 1 at my new internship. Currently, learning how to work cameras and ultimately make better videos for you guys!

DEFINITION
“Diversify your investments” they say…

  • "Diversify" means spreading out your money into different types of investments instead of putting it all in one place. It's like having a variety of snacks instead of just one type – if something happens to one, you still have the others to rely on. In personal finance and investing, diversifying helps reduce the risk of losing all your money if one investment doesn't do well.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Why do they say “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”?

  • Think of your money as a basket of eggs. If you put all your eggs in one basket and something happens to that basket, like it gets dropped or stolen, you could lose all your eggs at once. But if you spread your eggs into different baskets, even if one basket has a problem, you still have plenty of eggs left in the others. Diversifying your investments is like spreading your eggs into different baskets to protect them.
