Invest in yourself

Good morning!
Yesterday I got an internship. UNPAID TOO! I wanted to learn more about video production and filmmaking, so I interviewed with a local studio made for podcasting, YouTube videos, and photography.

Sometimes it’s okay to take a step back and invest in yourself. As you hone in on your skills and experience, you’ll have a lot more leverage for higher paying opportunities later on.

DEFINITION
What does ROI mean?

  • Finance bros and business people love to throw around the famous acronym “ROI”

  • This stands for Return on Investment.

  • For example, if you invest your own money and spend $500 to get a license to sell real estate. Then after getting the license you sell real estate for the next 6 months and earn commissions of $30,000. That was a great RETURN on your INVESTMENT. A great ROI.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Invest in Yourself!

  • Put some money or just put some time into improving yourself. Your greatest investment won’t be a stock, it won’t be bitcoin, and it won’t even be real estate. Your greatest investment will be in YOURSELF.

HELPFUL RESOURCES
YouTube videos

  • What’s that skill you wanted to improve at the beginning of this year? Start investing some time into honing in on that skill. Watch some YouTube videos on it first!
