Don't be a fool with your money 🧠

Happy April Fools Day! Today’s newsletter ain’t no joke though.

If you’re new to The Daily Frugal, WELCOME! This is where I drop my most candid thoughts and share the most value out of all my social media accounts.

And yes, this is actually me (JC) typing this out, I don’t have some ghostwriter in a foreign country writing these out for me.

DEFINITION
What’s a mentor?

  • A mentor is a guide who supports and advises you in your professional journey. They offer insights, feedback, and encouragement based on their experience in your field. They can be a colleague, manager, or external coach who believes in your potential. It’s best to formally ask someone to be your mentor, so you both have an understand of what this relationship will look like.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
How I tripled my income (because I found the right mentors)

  • Here are 2 weird hacks that will give you opportunities to meet some big ballers, who can become both mentors and employers.

    1. Play tennis

      • Similar principle with playing golf. When you play these kinds of sports, you’re hanging out with business owners, advisors, consultants, doctors, lawyers, and other high-income individuals. If you’re competent at the sport and bring good vibes; you can really connect with these unique individuals.

    2. Go to church

      • It’s a place where the title of CEO, doctor, and manager have no meaning. Foster your faith and make some friends; you never know where those relationships might lead!

  • I got my first internship through church, and then my first sales job through a tennis connection. Had me earning 3 times more than what my pizza delivery job was paying at the time. I’ve never seen that much money in my life!

  • Here’s an amazing book I read that hyped me up to get out there and start connecting with the right people who have helped me create the life I want!
