Is $80 a cheap date? đź’¸

Top of the morning! If you saw my last post, this was the Facebook event that I chose for Ashlea and I’s Valentine’s date yesterday!

Let’s just say it was just like that scene from the movie, “Blended” where Adam Sandler had to massage Drew Barrymore’s earlobes.

How much did this date cost?

  • It was one ticket that covered both of us, and it cost $90 dollars.

  • We spent 3 hours there, learning how to do these different Thai massage techniques (don’t worry everyone was clothed). But it was super dope to see all the free spirits, and couples who were so comfortable with physical touch and all’at.

  • For a whole journey in 3 hours, that was worth the $90 to me. We also got a recording of the whole massage sequence we learned so now we can use it any time.

I wanted to share my recent financial break through! Over the last 2-3 years I managed to pay off all my student loans in full, gain fully funded emergency fund which came in handy (lost phone, unexpected dental bill) and managed to invest in a TFSA. It's a journey and still learning as I go but looking back and talking about it with my partner I am proud of the progress I made and looking forward to continue growing đź’Ş - R.S
