5 Summer Savings Tips
Good morning!
It’s getting toasty out here. So Summer is just around the corner. Here are some very practical ways to save NOW!
PRACTICAL ADVICE
5 Summer Savings Tips
Wash your clothes in cold water
The most energy (aka money) used by our appliances comes from heating up water. Just moving that temperature setting on the washer from hot to warm could cut each load’s energy use in half
Ditch the theme parks
Most theme parks cost $100+ per person for the day. And let’s not even mention the price of food! And in the summer time, expect to get sunburned, to be super sweaty, and to get some aggravated spouses/kids. You’re better off finding a national park with swimming areas to visit for the day, or doing an indoor activity (like go karting, museums, and laser tag).
Sell your old clothes
Sell them from the comfort of your own home through an online marketplace like thredUP or Poshmark. Or go to Plato's closet!
Save on AC costs
Do this by: Closing your curtains and blinds during the day. Keeping the doors inside your house closed. Caulking your windows and doors.
Wash your own car
Self explanatory.
